Homework: reading no more than 10 pages a night and taking notes/study for tests
Class: Brock has a power point over what you read last night and you talk about it in class where you have the opportunity to ask questions
Tests: Every day you have a 3 question quiz over what you read (you can use your notes) that counts as homework points. After each chapter you have a 10 question quiz that students generally do good on. Unit tests are sorta set up like the AP exam, you get the same amount of time per question and you have an essay that is timed. The questions and essays are previous question that were on the AP exam. The multiple choice is also graded on a curve.
The first couple months: In the beginning you might start to question if you are smart enough to be in this class and you will feel like you have no idea what is going on. That is okay! you are smart enough for this class! You will learn how to take notes and read the textbook by the first couple of months and if you really feel as if you're struggling with this part Brock is very willing to stay after school during tutoring and help you with this. The First unit test is the hardest. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED BY IT! You do not know how the test is set up nor how to study for it. But as you take more tests you learn how to study and you are not as nervous as before and you'll start getting better grades on the unit tests.
